NODIP is a village group giving young women the opportunity to learn sewing and knitting skills and earn small incomes. It is based in Ntuntu, about 40 kilometres from Singida.
Kevin Curley, TDT Project Officer writes: When I met the girls for the first time in 2018 they told me that they wanted to find a way of avoiding bar work in the local pombe bars where they are vulnerable to drunken men and boys. Building on their success last year we have awarded a second grant of £2,520 so that they can buy more knitting machines and install solar power in their training room. There is plenty of demand locally for the sweaters and other school uniform clothing they produce.
