Kevin Curley, Project Officer, reports: When I met leaders in Kigoma rural district in 2019 they said their priority was to get primary school leavers into secondary school. More than 800 children who had performed well in primary school exams were sitting at home in their villages because of a lack of Form 1 classrooms. We did a deal. If parents and communities would build classrooms up to lintel level TDT would fund the timber for doors and windows and the metal sheets for roofs. Our grant of £4,000 completed 10 classrooms, enabling 400 children to go to secondary school.
