In December 2018, we received Tsh.8,183,000/= as a grant from TDT for computer installation at Manyoni secondary school. After all the procurement procedures were completed, we purchased 10 desktop computers, 1 laptop, 1 printer, 10 electricity extensions, 11 long tables and 22 chairs to be used in our computer lab.
Availability of all this equipment makes our computer lab alive and it has become so helpful to both teachers and students. Students get a chance to access various teaching and learning materials of various subjects stored in those computers. Computers are wireless connected to an internet service which provide an opportunity to students to surf different materials from the internet.
The availability of a working computer lab also helps us in reducing the problem of truancy, because students are so excited about computers which motivate them a lot to attend school.
