Congratulations to Benedicto Hosea!
After much debating over the incredible photos we received from our representatives last month, members of the committee (with the generous help of a photographer) decided that this beautiful photo deserved the top spot!
This photo from Benedicto shows students of Ntamya secondary school fetching water from the run-off the the river – a three mile journey! (However, we are pleased to say that they no longer have to make this three mile journey for water anymore… Keep an eye on our news posts to see their update!)
We loved how the beautiful landscape framed the students, yet didn’t detract from them. The girls themselves had so much cheerful emotion that radiated from the photo, and it all told such a story of a journey to collect water from the river’s run-off.
We would also like to commend this photo from Robert Kasaaju of students at Rwoga primary school at Kagondo village, Bukoba in Kagera region, where the children celebrating their new water pipeline bringing clean, healthy water to the school!
Our representatives certainly didn’t make this an easy choice! Thank you for all the beautiful photographs, and we look forward to the next one!
