November 2021
Another month, another photo competition for our amazing local Tanzanian representatives who have been sending photos of their projects to us throughout the month! Let us know what you think via social media by tagging us and using the hashtag #TDTPhotoComp!

Here are some of the women at Mlole village in Nyakatanga ward- Muleba district. They are doing a great job! They’re very thankful to TDT for supporting solar pump which has enabled them to enlarge their plots from half acre to 3 acres at the moment. The solar pump has simplified the work of watering their crops and do the work in short period of time…

… They are generating a good profit from selling vegetables like cabbage, carrot, beans, and tomatoes. Currently they have planted maize and soya beans.
Their commitment and team work is outstanding. They have used some of the profit to establish piggery project, paying school fees for two orphans and feeding their families.
However they are still in need if the manure and pesticides.

We always love seeing another water pump installed – this time at Kitanga secondary school.

These water pumps make a huge difference to the lives of the students, particularly the girls, whose grades significantly improve without having to walk so far to the nearest stream.

And we love seeing the girls queue up for clean water at their own school instead of a stream!

Another community project has an irrigation pump! These are great help for their agriculture!

How can you not smile when looking after these cute little pigs! Mlole women’s group are certainly enjoying it, and gaining many benefits!
