Trees for a better future! Here’s Stephania, a form two student at Zeze secondary, working at Mboni ya Vijana as part of youth empowerment planting trees to protect their environment – this tree grew 47cm in 90 days!

Another one from Mboni ya Vijana, this time showing their incredible work in sustainable agriculture!

Christina enjoys maize getting to a ripe stage supported by irrigation through the dry season at Zeze.

Another of Mboni ya Vijana’s projects is their “Pass on a Chicken” project – the chickens’ eggs increase food security and income generation for families and communities.

Melina is impressed seeing and raising chicks using an Incubator at Zeze. She never believed that there are other way of getting chicks than hens eggs bricking.

Another month, another amazing update on our Marumba girls vending project!

Back in September, we saw the caps and aprons being made ready for the project….

Now the girls are working hard in their smart aprons and caps…

… With time for a break and a drink in between!

Anyone for basketball?

The students at Angaza secondary school in Lindi region are definitely still enjoying the basketball court…

The court was funded by TDT and supervised its construction with Sports Dev Aid in 2019.

Working at the carwash! This carwash project for unemployed youths seems to be off to a great start in Maswa district!

They are being given income generation opportunities and learning how to run a business under the supervision of local NGO Jacode, who have been supporting the project on the ground. They hope to expand the services they offer in the future.
