January 2022
Another month, another photo competition for our amazing local Tanzanian representatives who have been sending photos of their projects to us throughout the month! Let us know what you think via social media by tagging us and using the hashtag #TDTPhotoComp!

Start of the new academic year when parents are urged to support their students (particularly daughters) to continue attending – this can be challenging when some walk up to 4 hours a day to and from school…
The hostel we funded isn’t big enough to accommodate everyone yet…

He looks pretty determined!

As part of this village development project with Eucanaid we funded a new school seen in the background – previously students had a very long walk to the next village.

We also funded a number of income generating projects, such as these modern beehives, which bring in much needed income to help the villagers raise themselves and their families out of extreme poverty.

Sport is so important, and we were delighted to fund this basketball court in conjunction with VSO – looks like its getting some good use!

Here students are sharing their knowledge about girls’ rights in the shelter run by our rep for Mara Region, Rhobi Samwelly’s organisation Hope for Girls and Women.

She looks like a great teacher, and the class so attentive! Will definitely go far!
