(1) Collecting water

Water is a huge issue at Mdughuyu in Singida as people rely on this pond shared with animals.  This village will be the focus of our next Integrated Village Development project in collaboration with EuCanAid, so follow its progress here.

(2) Getting water in Mdughuyu

Collecting water generally falls on women and takes many hours a day.  During the dry season even muddy pond like this dry up, meaning further and further walks.

(3) Harvesting Sorghum for porridge

Children at this school in Shinyanga did not get anything to eat while at school which often made studying challenging.

This project involved setting up school farms in 3 schools where students grow Sorghum for porridge. Here they are harvesting their crop…

..and are very pleased with the results!

We are hoping to scale up this project to more schools as soon as funds allow.  

(6) New Projector at Kimwanya Secondary School

Students in form 1 enjoy learning about the body using the reconditioned projector supplied by our Technology Project, connected to a laptop belonging to the science teacher.
