(1) Pass the pig success at Didia

Pigs can be a valuable source of income for very vulnerable women, and lead to new skills, independence and hope. Piglets are passed on to more women in the community, hence generating a multiplier effect. Read more about one of our pig projects here.

(2) Increased yields from irrigation, Kigoma

In much of rural Tanzania farmers can only grow crops during the rainy seasons, so access to irrigation is a game changer, increasing incomes and food security. Read more here.

(3) Fish farm, Kigoma

This fish farm provides a valuable source of income and protein for this community. Learn more about our income generation goals here.

(4) Improved water source in Kigoma

Students can now access water from this borehole in Kigoma, one of 31 such projects we funded last year. This means they no longer have to spend hours each day carrying water from a dirty stream over a mile away. Read more here.

(5) Second chance for young mothers

Tumaini Open School supports young mothers in Tabora region and beyond who have been excluded from education when they became pregnant, to offer them a second chance of education at Tumaini Open School. More information here.

(6) Singing for the president

Deaf and blind students in Dodoma practice to greet President Samia. Our local rep Patrick leads the DCT Deaf Mission in Dodoma and you can watch him talk about his passion for his work here.
