(4) Drilling for water, Dodoma

Our vocational training project for deaf students at Matumbulu, Dodoma, had huge challenges with water, so we were delighted to be able to fund a borehole which successfully found water. Now they will also be able to irrigate their land and grow food for the students. Read more about this project here.

(6) Improved cassava, Kigoma

Local partner MVG is researching which improved cassava variety is best for their environment. This monster is TARI-CAS4 which had high yields – of up to 90 ton per acre, as well as a short harvesting season and being resistant to pests and drought.   Learn more about this project here.
