(1) New Digital Champion

Mapping project Crowd2Map trains women to map the safe places in their communities to better protect girls from Child Marriage and FGM, as well as more general digital skills.

(2) Deaf students learn tailoring

Cleria learns tailoring skills at our vocational training for deaf students in Dodoma.

(3) Collecting agricultural waste to make biochar, Kigoma

Villagers in Zeze collect maize husks that will be burnt to make biochar. This will be mixed with manure and used as organic fertilizer to boost crop yields.  Read more here.

(4) Transporting seedlings, Kigoma

Amos is working with many school groups to plant trees to improve nutrition and the environment. Seedlings grown in the nursery are loaded up ready for distribution.

(5) Water for irrigation, Dodoma

Matumbulu trains deaf students in tailoring, welding and carpentry. We funded a borehole so they can now start irrigating the land to grow more food for the students. Read more about this project here.

(6) Clean Water, Kagera

Villagers at Kaibanja now enjoy clean water from this projected spring.  This helps to reduce the challenge of women and young girls walking long distances to carry water. Learn more about water issues here.
