Tackling poverty at its roots

We envision a future where every person in Tanzania has the opportunity to live a healthy, educated, and empowered life. We believe that sustainable development is key to achieving this vision, and we are committed to working with communities and individuals to make it a reality.

We are driven by a set of five core values that guide our work:

We believe in empowering individuals and communities to become self-sufficient and take ownership of their own development

We work in partnership with local communities to ensure that our programs continue to be relevant and impactful

transparency (1)

We are committed to transparency and accountability in all our activities, and we strive to ensure that our donors and partners are fully informed about our work and progress

We are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to address development challenges, and we are open to trying new approaches and learning from both our successes and failuresb

We prioritise long-term sustainability in our programs, aiming to create lasting change that will continue to benefit individuals and communities well into the future and future generations

We take a holistic approach to development, working across three main areas: education, access to water and community empowerment. Our programs include girls hostels, which aim to raise achievement in government secondary schools and village water points to reduce disease and the time spent collecting water, allowing more girls to access education.

We work closely with local communities to ensure that our programs are relevant and effective, and we prioritize sustainability to ensure that our impact lasts.
