Solwa Secondary School, Shinyanga, has a new hostel to accommodate 100 girls who need to board as they live too far away to return home each day. Initially twenty bunk beds were purchased but inflation prevented the school from buying the other 30. This meant some girls were sleeping on the floor or not attending school. TDT donated £2010 to have the other 30 double bunks made locally. This means the dormitory is now at full capacity allowing 100 girls that live furthest away, to stay at school.
