Supported with a generous grant from the W F Carter Trust.
Kevin Curley, Project Officer, reports: As I reached Isuka primary school in March 2019 by motorbike taxi from Nyashimo, the main town in Busega district, I saw more than 150 children being taught in three classes under trees in the school's dusty play area. Lessons stop when it rains or the wind blows too strongly. Classrooms built a few years earlier by parents had collapsed because of poor construction. Leo, the new and enthusiastic head teacher, wanted TDT's help to construct new classrooms. A grant of £5,000 has enabled the completion of three new classrooms.
