Since the project started have been made 70 uniforms for primary and secondary schools uniforms (cost 8,000/= each pair) for primary school and for a secondary school (a pair cost Tsh). 12,000; 109 sweaters for secondary and primary schools (each sweater cost Tsh. 10,000).
From the products produced and sold we have managed to pay money for rent (20,000= each month; total amount paid TSh. 120,000 = for six months). As well as 80,000 for a trainer who trains learners.
Many of those who are being trained show good progress in learning; some of them can perform well now.
Initial progress as been very encouraging and we are expecting a good level of sales next year. This project aims to assist students and parents who can’t afford to buy uniform at a high cost. We reduced the cost so that many parents can afford to buy the uniform at a lower cost. This seems to attract many parents to buy our products.
The sales will increase and the demand seems to be high for next year when new students for primary and secondary level will be starting a new year of schooling.
