Our grant allowed Benedicto, our committed rep in Kigoma rural, and his organisation Mboni ya Vijana to organise a camp where youth from all over Tanzania came to Zeze to learn how to make rope hand pumps, soap, local bricks, as well as hand drilling, mapping, welding and entrepreneurial techniques over 3 weeks in August.

Our parent, The Britain-Tanzania Society was also founded in 1975. It aims to increase mutual knowledge, understanding and respect between the peoples of Britain and Tanzania. It encourages knowledge and strong ties through regular seminars, events and publications.
