Every pound donated is spent on projects in Tanzania.
Tanzania Development Trust changes lives! Set up in 1975, we have 45 years’ successful experience of working with project partners on small-scale projects in the poorest areas of Tanzania.
From ensuring everyone has access to clean water or an education, to helping improve income generation, you can find the impact we have made on people’s lives on our projects page.
Run Entirely by Volunteers
We are run entirely by volunteers with no admin or fund-raising costs; we can tell donors exactly where their money goes and who is benefiting. We fund clean water for villages; maize mills so women don’t have to trudge 20 km with heavy loads; vocational training in building, tailoring and IT; start-up business projects like fish-farming and bee-keeping; and girls’ hostels for secondary schools.
