Water is the key to life – we simply cannot survive without it. But in reality many are struggling to simply get access to any clean and safe water in rural Tanzania. Some communities will have to walk for hours a day to the nearest stream which can be 5 kilometres away to collect dirty water that can make them ill. This duty often falls upon women and girls, taking them out of school or work, and widening the gender inequalities they already face.

We’re working hard to get this fundamental human right to every rural community we work with, and your good gift will help us greatly in achieving this.

Access to clean and safe water is fundamental for our survival. But we still have too many communities that are without access to clean and safe water in rural Tanzania. There are many that are on our waiting list for funding to have a new water pump installed. Instead, they are currently walking up to 5 kilometres a day to collect dirty water from the nearest stream.

Through his grassroots community organisation Mboni ya Vijana, our local representative Benedicto Hosea is one of our local representatives that has been dedicated to getting access to water and has perfected a low-cost yet very effective technique.

The good gift you purchase will help to install another water pump that will change many lives in a community.
