(1) Deaf students play table tennis, Dodoma

Local rep Patrick runs vocational training for deaf students in welding, carpentry and tailoring. Here they are enjoying their free time after classes playing table tennis thanks to a table they made using funds donated by Bounce in London. Read more about this project here.

(2) Water source, Dodoma

This pond is the only source of drinking water for the local community. Read more about our water projects here.

(3) Cooks, Kigoma

These cooks are making chapatis for the young entrepreneur class run by our local partner in Kigoma, Mboni ya Vijana. Read more about this program here.

(4) Making charcoal from agricultural waste, Kigoma

This group are making biochar from waste cassava husks to improve soil quality, boost moisture retention and fix carbon and hence improve crop yields.

(5) Young mothers graduate, Tabora

Girls who unwantedly become pregnant face huge challenges and discrimination in Tanzania, often losing any chance of an education. Tumaini Open School addresses this and gives them a second chance to fulfill their dreams.
