Peanut processing in Tabora

(1) Peanut processing, Tabora

 

We supported this womens group to purchase machinery so they could start producing peanut butter to sell locally. The project is going well and bringing in income to help support their families.

Local children carry water long distances from this pond shared with animals to their homes.

 

We are currently fundraising to support more villages like this with boreholes and spring protection schemes.

(3) Young Mothers, Tabora

 

Girls who become pregnant, even via rape often lose their access to education. Our Tumaini Open School project gives them a second chance to follow their dreams. Here they are enjoying a biology lesson.

Local partner MVG has perfected a method of drilling low cost boreholes. Here they are cutting pipe ready for the next installation.

(6) Training deaf youth, Dodoma

Deaf students at Matumbulu vocational education centre are learning tailoring and producing school uniforms. This is Daudi, a graduate from Kigwe who is desperate to learn carpentry. We hope he will be able to join in July when we have more funding.
